We love to travel, and we believe that while we are seeing and experiencing the world, we might as well sleep in style. Finding extraordinary, yet affordable, places to stay has proven to be a bit of a challenge, and that is how Darn Good Digs came to be.
Darn Good Digs are those accommodations that truly win you over. They wow you with their scrumptious food, they awe you with their spectacular location, and your heart is warmed by the good people who work there. Darn Good Digs may or may not be on the tourist track, and they may or may not have televisions, a spa, or luxury linens, but the owners have unique visions and they are darn good. All Darn Good Digs have rooms that are $150 or less, even in the high season.
Not only do we love to travel, we believe in it. At its best, travel can support local economies and foster cultural exchange. It can be eye-opening and enlightening for both travelers and locals alike. An important part of what makes Darn Good Digs so good is that they are part of the fabric of the community. All Darn Good Digs are independently owned, and nearly all are locally owned. If the owners live elsewhere, they demonstrate a commitment to the community by investing in projects aimed at improving the lives of those who live there.
Our mission at Darn Good Digs is to create a world-wide community of travelers to share amazing, unique, and affordable accommodations. In order to ensure that our selection process is unbiased, hotels cannot pay to be included on darngooddigs.net nor can they nominate themselves.
